It is not a law firm, not a licensed immigration consultancy, and not connected to the Government of Canada or to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Nothing here is legal advice or representation, and nobody here is authorised to advise you on your case. What the numbers are

Every figure on this site describes what happened to other applicants who reported their own dates. It is a description of the past, not a forecast of your case and not a commitment by anyone. Ranges are wide because the underlying reality is.

Some stages have never been validated at all, because the data does not reach far enough forward to check them. Those are labelled wherever they appear, and the methodology page lists them by name along with the measured accuracy of everything else. Please read it before relying on a date.

Do not make irreversible decisions on an estimate from this site — flights, resignations, ending a lease, moving a family.

Your account

One person, one account. Keep access to your email address, since that is how sign-in works. What you record should be your own application; inventing timelines degrades the figures everyone else relies on, and accounts doing it will be removed.

The cohort rooms

Rooms are pseudonymous and shared with strangers. Treat anything you post as public and permanent to the people in the room.

Do not post another person’s information, application numbers, documents, or anything identifying about anyone including yourself. No harassment, no hate, no advertising, no soliciting clients, and no offering paid immigration services. Messages can be reported, hidden and removed, and accounts can be muted or banned, at our discretion and without notice.

You keep what you write, and give us permission to display it in your room for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account deletes your messages.

Availability

This is a small independent project. It may be slow, briefly unavailable, or changed without notice, and it may stop. If it is ever shut down, reasonable notice will be given so you can export your data first.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that any estimate will prove correct.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site — including any decision taken in reliance on an estimate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which erases everything immediately. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.

Governing law

Immigration Timeline is operated from British Columbia by Manoj Kumar. These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of the service, are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

The courts of British Columbia are the default place to bring a claim, but not the only one. Nothing in these terms removes a protection your own province’s consumer law gives you and does not allow you to waive, or your right to bring proceedings where you live. That matters in Quebec in particular, whose Consumer Protection Act does not permit a consumer to be required to sue elsewhere — and Quebec applicants are one of the groups this service is built for.

If you use the service from outside Canada, you are responsible for complying with your own local law.
